Catherine is a Consultant Occupational Therapist with nearly 40 years’ experience. She has worked as a clinical case manager for people with birth related and catastrophic injuries for over 16 years.

Catherine trained as an occupational therapist in Dublin, worked in Donegal, before working in England, the Middle East and back to England. She relocated home to Co. Fermanagh in 2011 and continues to provide a case management service to clients in London and the home counties. She provides an occupational therapy consultancy service to a specialist brain injury service in Galway.

Catherine specialises in working with people with complex neurological challenges and as no two days are alike when it comes to case management she advised:

“Amongst other things, I have supported people to recruit and manage carers in their own homes, written and over seen the writing of care plans, advised on and sourced therapists to provide the best type of therapy to engage in to optimise outcomes, supported people and their families to negotiate with equipment providers.
I have reviewed and made recommendations on housing adaptations as well as supporting people to create return to work or education plans and overseen following those through. I have arranged holidays abroad and relocated people from one country to another, ensuring they had the best medical and therapy support available to them”

Catherine is passionate about people being able to make choices for themselves in any circumstances and ensuring people have the right information available to them when making choices that affect their lives and the lives of those important to them.

She provides case management services in Northern Ireland, Donegal, Cavan, Monaghan, Sligo, Leitrim, Mayo, Galway, Roscommon, Louth, Westmeath, Dublin, or within a 2.5 hour car journey from her office base in Co. Fermanagh.
